We enjoy showing our Boxers but first and foremost we believe in letting them be dogs. We believe the Boxer was bred to be tough and they get to show their strength around here. When we are out on our acreage, they are out with us and get to run on our 45 acres, they can all climb to the top of the hay stack, run thru the barn, and then come leaping in the house and lay by the fireplace.
Our Boxers feet are tough from running in the gravel, alfalfa fields and down our dirt road. They may have a few nicks here and there from the chasing the rabbits to the wash, but their pads are tough. The heart is a muscle, and needs exercise. Boxers are lively, robust, and always full of energy. They are not dogs you can tie up in the backyard. They are people dogs and demand attention. Please consider reading "Boxers For Dummies". It's a very good no nonsense book on their temperment, energy level, and what you can expect out of a Boxer..They are considered the clowns of the canine world.
Our Boxers are bred for temperament, brains and beauty. Our dogs are not great watch dogs, because they love anyone, especially if there are cookies involved!
We are a Boxer loving family who believe strongly that socializing is the key to a happy adult Boxer. Pet puppies which are every bit as wonderful as show puppies are sold on spay/neuter limited registration, no exceptions..:)
